The TFP Forestry Consultant has more than 20 years of experience making tree plantings in southeast Iowa a success.

TFP assists clients from start to finish with:

  • Tree planting plans
  • Layout of planting site
  • Planting bed preparation (spraying)
  • Purchase and cold storage of seedlings
  • Planting seedlings
  • Precision seeding acorns and walnuts
  • Mowing, spraying and inspection of plantings

TFP also includes a follow up spraying to give your trees an extra year of growth without the grass competition.

In addition, TFP provides a variety of specialized products to clients including:

  • Jump start growth tubes
  • Vispore tree mats

NEW! Grant Received for Mormon Trail Development

Pathfinders recevied $86,000 in Statewide Transportation Enhancement grant funds to identify nationally significant historical resources on the Iowa Mormon Wagon Trails and Iowa Mormon Handcart Trail.  

The project will include a cultural and natural resource inventory and land acquisition study.   The project will also result in preservation and interpretive plans.  This project is being completed as part of  Iowa scenic byway development

While grants funds have been committed, Pathfinders is still securing necessary cash match. The project is expected to start in fall 2012.
